Methodist Boys’ High School - Global Network Initiative (GNI) Proposes solar powered laptop computers for the School teachers, administrators and pupils.

The Principals, Teachers, Administrators and Pupils of the Methodist Boys’ High School, Kissy Mess Mess, Freetown, in collaboration with the Board of Governors, and the Alumni Associations in Freetown, United Kingdom and the United States of America, recently established a Global Network Initiative ( GNI) to map out areas of mutual interest and to provide a more structured support system for improvements at the school.
The management committee of GNI in consultation with all stakeholders is proposing the provision of two solar powered laptop computers to be used by school teachers, administrators and pupils, with the aim of providing secured and readily available access to the WWW thereby creating research opportunities for all, and an avenue for the school, especially the Principals and Administrators, to have reliable means of communication with Alumni Associations and well wishers around the world.

This proposal when accomplished will provide the basic infrastructure for more solar powered computer units to be added as the demand increases.

The GNI Management Committee is appealing to all alumni of this great institution, businesses and well wishers, for financial contributions toward making this project a reality at the earliest possible time.
